Abortion access is a Reproductive Justice issue and the foundation of reproductive freedom.

Abortion access is a Reproductive Justice issue and the foundation of reproductive freedom.

Although Justice Alito's draft has been leaked, this is not a draft of perspective but a reflection of our future reality. Federal protections have not been lifted yet but as the responsibility of our wellness shifts back to the states, Ohioans are being faced with repeated attacks from the anti-abortion legislators who have shown us, time and time again, that they do not value the wants of the people.

An official decision from the Supreme Court has not been issued, but a flagrant misinterpretation of the Constitution found in Justice Alito’s writing has warranted a deeply passionate response nationwide.

"We do not need our bodies written in the Constitution to be deemed free. We hold more people power, and now is the time for us to let them know abortion as it stands is safe and legal, and we will fight like hell to keep it that way," says Rhiannon Carnes, Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director of OWA AF.

While we were presented with some jarring information about the Supreme Court’s intentions to overturn Roe v Wade, we are determined to let Ohioans know that abortion is still legal in our state and across the country.
